Our new arrivals of Sari Silk rugs from India take the concept of upcycling to beautiful new heights. These rugs are fashioned from recycled silk sari garments that have been unraveled into individual strands then re-spun and delicately hand-knotted. The rich and varied patterns of the saris ensures that no two rugs are alike.
The laborious production process and limited availability of the sari silk guarantees the exclusivity of these highly sought after treasures for the floor.
Tis the season to cozy up in front of the fire with a luxurious Alpaca rug! Handcrafted in Peru by expert artisans using only the softest Alpaca hides, these rugs are an elegant and sensual way to warm up any space. Considered to be one of the highest quality natural fibers on the market, the fur is ethically and sustainably sourced as a natural by-product of the Peruvian food industry.
These rugs can be made in any size and are available in a range of 12 natural colours. So incredibly soft and plush, they make lounging on the floor a truly sensuous pleasure!
We are excited to announce a gorgeous new arrival from acclaimed German rug designer Jan Kath – Lost Weave 5.
The Lost Weave collection was unveiled earlier this year in Germany at Domotex 2013. Inspired by the “boucheroite”- Moroccan Arabic for “torn clothing”- carpets of Moroccan weavers, with this latest collection Jan Kath intersects traditional handicraft with contemporary design affects. What results is a fascinating organic design handknotted in highland wool from Tibet, Chinese Silk and nettle fiber.
